GEMS is an acronym for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior.
Our desire is to see girls actively and enthusiastically expressing love for God and others. Girls (2nd - 8th grades) meet to make new friends and learn about God’s love. Activities include singing, making crafts, playing games, Bible lessons, and participating in service projects.
The Calvinist Cadet Corps is the ministry of men of God who are dedicated to bring boys (3rd – 8th grades) into a living relationship with their Lord and Savior. The cadetting ministry encourages studying the Bible as the guide to life. It encourages experiencing the presence of the Lord in His creation and developing a boy’s understanding of his place in God’s world.
Asset Base Community Development;
Our Angell Neighborhood is blessed with gifts, assets, strengths and potential. Together with Community enCompass, we sponsor an Americorps employee who encourages and assists us to partner with local businesses, churches, and neighbors as we dream and work together toward permanent, positive transformation within our community.
Young girls in third world countries often miss a week of school each month because of the monthly menses. They have no means of sanitary protection to deal with this ordinary process. This mission is dedicated to keeping young girls in school and increasing their chances of improving their lives’. To this end we make washable, reusable sanitary products out of fabric that allow these girls to stay in school every day.
Meals are made each month and placed in the freezer for use as needed.
